This is a gorgeous combination of one of my favorite candies and brownie recipes but why stop there? Let’s top it all off with a beautiful chocolate ganache and sprinkle of sea salt! OH MY!!!!
1 stick butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 eggs
1c sugar
1T vanilla
1c flour
24 Riesens
1/2 c cream
1c chocolate chips
opt t vanilla or cream de cocoa
coarse sea salt
FOR THE RIESEN BROWNIE BITES…
Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat until melted.
Remove from stove and stir in beaten eggs, sugar, vanilla, and flour.
Put a scoop of batter in each mini muffin cup and then lightly press a Riesen into each one.
Bake for 10 minutes @ 350 degrees and then let cool.
NOW THE CHOCOLATE GANACHE…
Heat the cream over low/medium heat until scalding (you can see a bit of steam coming from the milk)
Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla or cream de cocoa.
Place a spoonful of ganache on each cooled brownie bite and then sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
