Step by step I am getting more organized and having fun while I’m at it by decorating my bins and containers with beautiful duck tape! I just love making duck tape crafts especially when they are helping me get organized! WOO HOO…let’s go…
HOW TO MAKE A DUCK TAPE WRAPPING PAPER STORAGE BIN…
Gather some cute duck tape and coordinating ribbon.
Start adding duck tape to 5 gallon bucket, pulling tauntly so that it is nice and smooth.
I just love this blue duck tape and it matches the peace sign duck tape perfectly so I decidedly to add a few stripes.
Add the next layer of duck tape overlapping it about 1/8″ over the previous layer.
You can see right through the pink duck tape so I decided to overlap the pink on the blue and just show half of the pink strip and 1/2 of the blue strip.
Just an FYI… I have found that the Scotch brand duck tape is thinner then the Duck brand. My daughter primarily prefers to use Duck brand but in this project the main thing to consider is if you can see through the tape. You could also spray the bucket with Kilz primer to cover up any logos or wording on the bucket to make sure you cannot see through any of the thinner or lighter colors of duck tape.
Continue adding strips of duck tape in desired pattern.
To top it all off, place duck tape on the top edge of 5 gallon bucket and fold over to inside of bucket.
Add some curly ribbon around one of the top ridges of the bucket.
Tie on a few more curly ribbons for some extra girly flair!
Add a few small pieces of duck tape to the white plastic piece on the handle.
Plop in your wrapping paper to complete. I placed some rubber bands around each roll of wrapping paper to keep it nice and tidy. I just love how much it holds!
Don’t you just love it…it almost looks like a wrapping paper bouquet so I could title this post How to Make a Jumbo Duck Tape Vase!!! 🙂
