TOWNHOUSE WATERCOLOR CARD

This is a delightful little note that combines Tim Holtz on the edge houses die with watercolor, stamping, and embossing to top it all off:) We used embossing plates and embossing powder to really customize this handmade watercolor card.

STAMPS- greeting (Sorry I don’t know company)

STAZON ink pad in black-(Available at Amazon at http://amzn.to/1cbrxSR)

WATERCOLOR WHEEL STACK -(Available at Amazon at http://amzn.to/1dfWNR7)

WATERCOLOR BRUSH- (Available at Amazon at http://amzn.to/1ha86yo)

Gold Stickles (Available at Amazon at http://amzn.to/1lHFMrt)

Black Embossing Powder (Available at Amazon at http://amzn.to/1fWb072)

Embossing Gun (Available at Amazon at http://amzn.to/1h76dDl in case you don’t have one.)

Clear Embossing Pad (Available at Amazon at http://amzn.to/1jsghtZ)

6 ” * 11″ piece of cardstock

6″ * 4 1/4″ piece of yellow patterned paper

5/8″ * 6″ strip of green scrapbook paper

Scraps of paper for greeting, greeting mat, and embossed flowers

LET’S GET STARTED:)

Let me first apologize for the lack of photos. We usually share a lot more with our tutorials but we must have gotten lost in the fun of creating this card or chatting too much and forgot-EEK! However, we loved how it turned out so we thought we should still share it. I am fairly certain I can walk you through the basics so you can reconstruct this card if you wish:)

Cut out townscape die on one short end of the 6″ *11″ piece of paper.

Score paper at 4 1/8″ and 8 1/4″ up from short straight edge and fold. (If you would like to view how we used Martha Stewart’s Scoring board, you can view at https://joyfuldaisy.com/snowman-cards/ )

Add color to the houses with your paint brush, as shown above (Can you believe we remembered to take one picture?!!)

When the paint dries, rub a clear embossing pad sparingly on the houses- primarily on the roofs. Sprinkle with black embossing powder and heat to set.

Stamp a greeting and apply a mat to it.

Add decorative paper to the main part of the front of the card and add greeting.

Punch or cut out flower and center and run through Sizzix with embossing folder to add texture. Adhere to card. Add gem and brush with a small amount of gold stickles on the edge of flower petals.
