I love choosing the paper to make these boxes, however the bottom of the box with it’s adorable complimentary paper is always hidden, so we decided to show you how to make a small gift box with a taller bottom:)

STEP 1: Start with a 10 1/2″ square and draw lines from corner to corner, then fold each corner to the center of the page.

STEP 2: Make a mark 1/2″ in from each corner and then fold in the opposite edge up to that mark.  Repeat on remaining 3 sides.

STEP 3: Once you unfold your paper, you should see all your fold lines.  If you do not see fold lines just repeat first two steps and crease more firmly.  On one corner, go to first fold on each side of the corner and cut down to the second fold line.  Repeat on opposite corner only.  Then trim the triangle piece on the side of the cut line about a little more then half way.  (If you don’t trim, they will stick out the sides of the box, once folded)”
