So simple, yet so scrumptiously good! I classify our chili cheese fries as comfort food, yet my husband says game day food which is fine with me since it seems there is a game of some kind on almost every day:)
STEP ONE: Bake according to instructions, however I like to bake the fries just a couple extra minutes to keep them crispy after I add the chili.
Once they are baked, I like to put them in small pie plates so everyone can customize their own toppings:)
STEP TWO: Warm up your favorite chili and spoon desired amount over fries. TIP: I just love homemade chili, especially when it is made with venison so everytime I make chili, I bag up a few freezer bags of 1 cup servings of chili so I can pull out and use for these yummo chili cheese fries or yummy chili cheese dogs 🙂 !
STEP THREE: Oh yegh, do not forget the cheeeeeese! Now place this beautiful ensemble under the broiler for a few minutes until cheese is nice and bubbly.
STEP FOUR: Remove from oven and sprinkle with green onions and a dollop of daisy, sour cream that is! Oh my, have a seat and indulge, life is good! 🙂
