MeaM<Mtaco bag bar

Our family just loves tacos, so when we were planning some fun food for Cousin’s Camping Week, we thought tacos in bag would be perfect!  This is such a fun way to serve tacos and setting up the taco bar was really a nice and easy way to do it.

Tacos in a bag TACO BAR

This was quite simple since I already had some chili in the freezer, I’m sorry but I cannot stand the canned premade chili – Ugg!  I let that thaw overnight and then just stuck in my large crockpot on low.  Then I put a jar of nacho cheese in my small crock pot.  The only thing that took a few minutes was chopping up the toppings… lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions, and salad peppers.  Oh…avocados would be yummy too!  Lastly I bowled up some sour cream, salsa, and cheese and put out a bunch of bags of Fritos and Doritos and a cup with spoons.

A few red bandanas were the perfect table topper to stick with our camping theme.

I like the Fritos best but the kids were partial to the Doritos.

I don’t usually like the yellow salad peppers on things, however, they were the best part of my taco bag ensemble.  It gave it the perfect amount of tang, if you will!

The mixture of flavors is so darn yummy!!!!  I think I need to add this to my dinner menu this week!

I had a little fun making the sign to complete my taco bar šŸ™‚  Pretty simple to make but you can download mine if you want and then just trim it down and mat it on a few papers that coordinate with your taco bar color scheme.

The kids had so much fun and the clean up was super simple!  Not many dishes to do here šŸ™‚

From all those smiles looks like your walk about taco bar was what everybody wanted and especially enjoyed. Love the idea, how smart are you, so quick (except for all that cutting up) but not too bad. We like lots of goodies on our tacos also. If not using the chips could just flop some tortillas on plate and have at it. Roll up or just use a fork. Yummm, making myself hungry.
Such a nice looking bunch of kids. Love to see them enjoying themselves and just being good kids.
    Happy week
